Reborn after being killed by her husband Ashvane, the Fireborn Crown Prince, Seraphine Morrow refuses to repeat her fate. On her wedding day, instead of marrying Ashvane—who plotted with rabbit spirit Lily Voss to destroy the Serpent Clan—she chooses Corvus Blackwood, the Raven Order's young lord. After her father sacrifices himself to give her his scales, Seraphine becomes Serpent Queen and rebuilds her clan. When Ashvane returns to attack, Corvus reveals himself as the legendary Three-Legged Sun Raven, killing Ashvane and the Fireborn Emperor. Together they overthrow tyranny and establish equality among all spirit clans.
