Lydia, on her merchant ship back home, rescues the wounded Pirate King Aiden, and the two share an intimate encounter. After returning, she is forced by her stepmother to sign a betrothal contract and marry the blind Lord Henry, all to avenge her mother. At the engagement ceremony, Henry attempts to assault Lydia in public. Just then, Aiden bursts in—only to be stunned to find that Lydia is now his stepmother.
