This is a world overrun by ferocious beasts. Humanity has built countless cities to hold back their invasions. After years of fighting them, humans mastered Contracted Beast summoning and no longer had to face those monsters with their own flesh and blood. By senior year of high school, everyone steps onto the summoning platform to summon their own Contracted Beast. 

At the center of the summoning platform, Vincent Hill was summoning his contracted beasts. Everyone was surprised at his ability to summon two contracted beasts. One of them is an A-tier Blazing Dragon while the other one is just an F-tier trash beast. After he finished summoning the beasts, Elena walked to the platform. Seeing his girlfriend was coming, Vincent comforted her failure of summoning. He promised to her that he would protect her in the future. 

However, his girlfriend Elena Lynch said to the professor that the Blazing Dragon was hers. Vincent didn’t understand what she meant. Elena continued to lie that Vincent tampered with her summoning and delayed his Contracted Beast’s appearance. At the same time, Elena mocked at Vincent’s growing up in a slum. After thinking for a while, Vincent agreed and alerted Blazing Dragon not to regret it someday. Before leaving, Elena told Vincent not to tell others she had dated him. Vincent didn’t answer and what he cared about was the mission. 

The system reminded host mission completed but the energy leaking from the Umbral Cat’s upgrade was projected to wipe out all of Jadeston. To protect the people in Jadeston, Vincent decided to leave the city with the cat. 

In Jadeston Guard Corps Headquarters Training Ground, an advanced beast tamer gave an S-tier fire beast core to Elena. Once her Blazing Dragon absorbed it, it could advance straight to S-tier. After he finished speaking, Elena let the dragon absorb it and then she became an S-tier Beast Tamer. 

In the whole Alliance, barely five people hit S-tier a year. The advanced beast tamer told Elena that as long as she kept that up, the Lynch family’s future was set. Hearing this, Elena said to herself that she would be the top Beast Tamer in the Alliance soon and trash like Vincent belonged under her feet.

Episode three

After leaving the high school, Vincent walked into a forest. The God-Tier Beast Tamer System asked if he wanted to upgrade the Umbral Cat. Vincent agreed. Once he pressed the button, the cat on his shoulder flew up the sky and black clouds gathered overhead. There was a pillar of gold light shining and it was a beast emergence energy sign whose scale was far beyond S-tier. 

Upgrade was completed and the Umbral Cat evolved into an Aether Devourer which meant God-tier. From then on, Vincent called the cat Dev. And he said to the cat that let them reach the strongest throne together. 

Rank meant potential. Dev’s potential already went beyond this world’s understanding. The cat’s full-power strike could destroy the world. But in every other aspect, it was still lacking. Suddenly, a new mission issued: kill ten city-destroying ferocious beasts and the reward was a God-Tier talent.  

Knowing the mission, Vincent thought to himself that a contracted Beast with a high-level talent can fight above its level. If Dev gets a God-tier talent too, its power would grow dramatically.

After Elena’s assassination attempt failed, she fell into the Reverse World. There, the lord of the Reverse World appeared whose level was a half-Step Pseudo-God. It is a transcendent lifeform born by devouring a world’s origin. A half-step pseudo-god has absorbed half the world’s origin and surpassed peak World-Ending Class. But his force is less than a ten-thousandth of a true god. 

The system released a new task: kill the half-step pseudo-god and the reward is an origin fusion card. Vincent entered the reverse world and the half-step pseudo-god persuaded him to submit. However, Vincent refused to do so and he knew that his contracted beast can beat the pseudo-god easily. 

When the half-step pseudo-god locked him in the reverse world, Vincent ordered his cat to fight with him. Within seconds, the half-step pseudo-god was defeated. The half-step pseudo-god and Elena started to beg Vincent to spare them. Elena even mentioned the three years when they stayed together. Vincent mocked Elena’s lack of shame. 

Then, Vincent killed the Blazing Dragon and Elena became ashes. The Alliance all bowed to Vincent to thank. The leader of the Alliance told him that there were still World-Ending Class Beasts in the horde and begged him to kill them. 

God-Tier Beast Tamer System told Vincent that the Ferocious Origin came from the reverse world’s origin. It gave living beings ferocity and frenzy and fully controlled them.
